FLYING the flag for Britain were visitors to Crowle’s St Oswald’ Church when the annual garden fete took place with a Jubilee and Olympic feel.

There was plenty of red, white and blue on display as the fundraiser took place.

Reverend Mary Stonier said: “It was a fundraiser. At the garden fete there were lots of games for the children with a mini Olympics, it wasn’t so much sport but skill-based events. There was a cake stall and refreshments and we finished off with a Songs of Praise, which was led by representatives of all the denominations in Crowle and Ealand.

“We had a really good day, it was very enjoyable for those who did attend.”
