LOOKING for answers to the life’s bigger questions? You may just find them in... Kilnhurst!

For a village clergyman has formed a new discussion group which seeks to understand the meaning of life.

Rev Andy Brewerton, vicar of St Thomas’s Church, is asking people to join in debates at the “One Life” group meetings, which start at the church next week.

He said: “As I go around the parish I find a lot of people asking questions like ‘Why are we here?’, ‘Is there a God?’, and ‘What’s it all about?’.

“Here at St Thomas’s, we think the Christian faith has got something to say about these big questions.”

“The group will be friendly and relaxed, and everyone is very welcome to join us.

“You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to read aloud, pray or sing! You can ask any question you want, or just come along and listen.”

The group is free to attend, and will be repeated at lunchtime and in the evening.

The first sessions are at 12.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday, June 6, and will run for seven weeks at the church in Highthorn Road.

A light lunch and creche will also be available at the 12.30pm sessions.
