Teachers were on strike at Rawmarsh again, on Wednesday – for the third week running.
And NUT members voted unanimously to be out again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week.
A second negotiation meeting was to take place today (January 20). It was not known whether the school will be forced to close on strike days.
Teachers remain resolute over planned redundancies to tackle a deficit, and say plans to reduce job losses from the original 30, to 17, are still unacceptable.
Rotherham NUT Divisional Secretary John Dalton said: “The teachers are fighting to maintain a good provision of education in Rawmarsh.
“The steady improvement in standards at the school is impressive. To maintain this requires a proper level of staffing. The governing body should explain how they got into this situation.”
