A group of people from Swinton raised over £300 for charity by taking part a sponsored walk at the weekend.

From there, they walked to Rawmarsh via Warren, before finishing in Rotherham at around 2pm.

However, this is not the grand total as more sponsored walks are due to talk place in the next few weeks.

One of the walkers, Lester Ian Weathers, thanked everyone for going along.

“It’s great to have so many people from the Rotherham and Swinton area pulling together for this great cause.

“Well done to everyone, and thanks. Without you all this would never off been possible,” he said.
