A fundraising coffee morning in aid of Cancer Research UK, held on Saturday, August 17, at Misterton Methodist Church, raised £633.85.
The event was held in memory of Misterton ladies, Jayne Johnson and Elaine Aston and was well attended.
Money was raised through the sale of refreshments and cakes, home made cards and cancer research badges, as well as a tombola and raffle.
The families of Jayne and Elaine would like to thank all those involved in organising and helping at the coffee morning for their hard work, and to all those who showed their generous support by attending and donating, including those who gave prizes and cakes.
A fund raising concert in memory of the two ladies and in aid of Cancer Research and the local Five Villages First Responders is to be held on Saturday 26th October at Misterton Sports Social Club. Tickets for this event have already sold out.
