staff at a town centre hair salon showed off their generous side by raising cash for terminally ill children.

Stylists at Saks Hair & Beauty in High Street, Doncaster decided to celebrate their first anniversary by giving something back with the event for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

As well as selling cupcakes and glasses of bubbly staff also took part in a competition to customise their own charity T-shirt’s.

Customers were invited to buy raffle tickets with the chance of winning a scarlet GHD hair straightning set worth £150 - tickets for which are still available until November 17 in the salon.

Paul Calladine said: “We wanted to do something for Bluebell Wood because it’s a local charity and it’s for children.

“We had a great time on the day and had a lot of support from our customers, money is still coming in and we are still selling raffle tickets in the salon.”

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at the hospice.
