Staff rewarded for their long service

TWELVE members of staff have had their long service recognized and rewarded by Doncaster College.

They were honored for their loyalty at the annual Doncaster College Long Service Awards, which took place at the college’s new Waterfront campus on Tuesday, September 26.

Maureen Lynch, a Technician within the Academy of Creative Industries, was recognized for 40-years service.

She said: “I started working for the college in 1970 in the science department and I’ve seen it grow from a much smaller college to what it is now.

“I worked in science for twenty five years before moving to hairdressing and then on to the arts.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with the students over all these years.”

Chair of Governors, Rob Wilmot and the College Principal George Trow, handed the awards out on the night.
