Spelling final for Doncaster youngsters

THREE youngsters from a Doncaster school have made the finals of a major spelling competition

The pupils, Charlotte Kerr, Mason Johnson and Luke Lange, who are all from year seven, have qualified for the Spanish Spelling Bee Regional Final to be held at Hull University on April 18, where they will compete against the best schools from all over Yorkshire.

They have learnt to spell 100 words using the Spanish alphabet and will have to spell as many as they can in a minute in the final.

A spokesman for the school said: “The following students will be representing Rossington All Saints in the competition and have lots of work to do to prepare for the competition.”
