POPSTAR Cheryl Cole didn’t need a ‘parachute’ as she flew into Afghanistan to visit war troops.

And Woodlands soldier Scott Philp made sure he got a photograph with the Girls Aloud star during a tour.

The Geordie girlband member, who also has had a string of solo hits including Parachute, may have been voted FHM Sexiest Woman in the World in 2010, however ammunition technician Scott, 24, only has eyes for one person.

“Scott was pleased to meet with Cheryl, it was a good morale booster but his fiancee Michelle Stafford is still his number one,” said mum Karen Hargrave, of Thorpe-in-Balne.

“They’re due to get married next March. One of his mates comments about the picture was, ‘Cheryl will be gutted when she realises you are not the real Prince Harry’, as there are obvious similarities!”

Scott, a corporal, joined the Royal Logistics Corps in 2006 and has achieved ‘Most Outstanding Recruit’.
