OFFICERS sniffed out at drugs den harbouring around £1,800 worth of cannabis.

A team from the Intake and Wheatley Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) visited a property in Cranbrook Road, Wheatley, after residents complained of a “strong smell” of cannabis in the area.

They found the Class B drug was being cultivated inside.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and was bailed pending inquiries.

Pc Steve Roberts said: “We will always respond to information provided by the public.

“Drugs have an impact on the lives of residents and we will always take positive action to put a stop to them.”
