SLIDESHOW: All white as Doncaster folk catch the drift

Waiting for Video...

IT might cause school closures, transport chaos and misery - but Doncaster has still been able to enjoy some fun during the recent snowy weather.

The town has been turned into a winter wonderland with sledges and snowball fights replacing school lessons as youngsters have made the most of some additional time away from the classroom.

As ever, the slopes of Cusworth Hall have been packed with children making the most of the white stuff and other hills in and around the region have also become a magnet for the sledging fraternity.

It is not just people who have been enjoying the snow either.

Over at Yorkhsire Wildlife Park, the park’s animals have been enjoying the freezing tempartures, with the attraction’s Amur tigers and leopards, who hail from Siberia, frolicking in their snowbound enclosures.

Watch our slideshow - our photographers and our readers have been out and about capturing the fun on camera
