Residents are being invited to find out about the services available to help those with learning disabilities as part of Small Charity Week celebrations.
Doncaster CVS has teamed up with Safe@Last homeless charity, Doncaster Minster, Freedom and Doncaster 50plus for the cause which launched on Monday.
It aims to raise awareness of the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector, work which impacts millions each year.
Nationally, Friday is ‘Fundraising Day’ and for the event an advice stand will be available outside Primark in Baxter Gate between 10am and 2pm.
Nazia Sattar, community development worker for Doncaster CVS, said: “We’re inviting local people to visit the stand to find out more about how these vital organisations support young people, those with learning disabilities, older people and others within the community.”
