A joint funeral will be held at Sheffield Cathedral for local football stalwart Brian Bradley and his wife Judith.

The devoted couple, who had been married for more than 50 years, were killed in a crash on the M1 near Rotherham last Thursday.

Their funeral will take place at the cathedral on Wednesday, July 22, starting at noon.

Family flowers only have been requested.

The couple, who had two daughters and one grandson, married in December 1961 and lived in the Firth Park area.

Brian wrote a non-league football column for the Sheffield Telegraph and was a well-known figure in local amateur football.

He was also known as the ‘Voice of Doncaster Rovers’ after commentating on their games for BBC Radio Sheffield.
