Epworth Leisure Centre will close for the second time in a month tomorrow because of an electric fault.

The facility will be shut between 8.30am and 5pm to enable Northern Powergrid to repair a fault on the electricity network.

This comes after it was closed for a day on July 2 to fix a similar electrical fault.

Northern Powergrid has written to the North Lincolnshire Council run leisure centre to inform them of the work taking place.

A council spokesperson said: “Northern Powergrid has told us that to repair the electricity fault; they need to temporarily switch-off the power supply. Unfortunately this means that we will have to close the centre again.

”We will be open as usual once the work has taken place and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

For more details about the work taking place, please contact Northern Powergrid’s 24 hour contact centre on 0800 587 8865.
