Names invited for new school
IDEAS for a new name for the soon-to-be opened Wombwell and Darfield ALC are invited from people in the surrounding area.
To date, the new build that will be completed this summer to open in September, has been referred to as above. But an inspiring new name is sought by the temporary governors.
The joining of Wombwell High School and Darfield Foulstone, both of which recently came out of Special Measures, has been a major project necessitating costly roadworks and the building of two bridges to provide access to the ALC, that could in future become a college, academy, or plain school.
Anyone with a suggestion for the new name should send them to s.ely@barnsley.org before March 26.
