Rotherham man to abseil to raise cash for British Red Cross

A Rotherham man is to abseil down the tallest sculpture in the UK to raise money for the Red Cross.

Adam Rodgers, age 21, from Oakwood, in Rotherham, is to abseil down the 376ft high ArcelorMittal Orbit tower in the heart of the Olympic Park in May.

The fundraiser, who works in mental health, said: “Everyone needs a challenge - and the architecture of the Orbit is intriguing.

“I may as well be doing something worthwhile on my days off.”
