Rider injured in Mexborough collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a motorcyclist was seriously injured in Mexborough.

The incident happened at about 6pm on Thursday, August 29, in Adwick Road, near to the junction with Arnold Crescent.

The Derbi motorbike was being ridden by a 16-year-old boy when it was in collision with a red Peugeot 207.

The teenager, from Swinton, was taken to hospital with a broken knee. The 24-year-old driver of the car, from Goldthorpe, was not injured.
