INK LOVERS flocked to one of the country’s biggest tattoo festivals at the weekend.

Thousands of fans admired the work and expertise of around 300 artists during the two-day Tattoo Jam.

Organisers say that by securing a host of the UK’s best-known tattoo artists, they’ve been able to build on the success of previous shows, attracting record visitor numbers.

Sion Smith, editor of Skin Deep, the event’s overall sponsor, said: “This year, the focus wasn’t so much on big international names. Instead, we focused on attracting home-grown talent. Tattoo Jam is the premier tattoo event for the UK and this year we had so much more entertainment than we’ve ever had before. We’re also pleased that internationally renowned tattoo artist Louis Molloy chose to attend this event prior to launching his new fragrance into Boots stores nationwide this Christmas.”
