ale experts have lavished praise on a pub as it is named the District Pub Of The Season.

The Reindeer Inn in Sandtoft has been given the accolade by members of the Doncaster Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA).

Derek Parker, landlord at the Thorne Road pub and restaurant, was thrilled to accept a certificate in recognition of its ‘beer quality’.

A CAMRA spokesman said: “When our branch members visited The Reindeer on a social last November, they were sufficiently impressed to vote the pub into the 2013 Good Beer Guide.

“Timothy Taylor, Landlord and Black Sheep Bitter are always available and, in the summer months, rotating guest beers are a regular feature.

“In recent months these have included ales from Clark’s, Theakston and Wells and Young.”
