it was a pie-fect night all round as members of the Royal British Legion tucked in to raise cash for the poppy appeal.

The pie and pea supper event raised just under £500 for the appeal that celebrated its 90th anniversary this year.

One hundred and twenty members attended Stainforth Community Centre to enjoy war time musical performances and raffles along with their supper at Friday’s event to support serving and ex-service personnel and their families.
