A TEAM of businesses will be saddling up for a polo tournament to rase money for a cancer charity.
Eight teams will take to the field to compete for the first every Bawtry Polo Cup title and battle it out for the top spot.
Money raised from the event will go to the Aurora Centre, which has based in Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Mexborough Montagu Hospital and offers alternative treatments for cancer patients.
Peter Bradley, campaign manager for Aurora, said: “The first Bawtry Cup Polo Match is shaping up to be a great day and we hope that it will generate much needed publicity for our Aurora charity.
The matches will be played on Sunday, August 19, at the Vale of York Polo Club in Misson.
The day will begin from 1pm where guests are invited to bring a picnic, blanket and chairs before the matches start at 2pm.
There is no admission fee but visitors are encouraged to make a small donation to Aurora.
