Frenchgate shopping centre has set up a special Kids’ Camp offering free activities to smaller visitors.
The Kids’ Camp, located in a special yurt on the first floor of the centre near Debenhams, was launched in roaring fashion by Tiny the Dinosaur – a Stegosaurus brought to life by the wonders of modern science.
Events taking place in the yurt over the coming weeks feature children’s entertainment, Punch and Judy shows, storytelling, arts and crafts and a visit from Peppa Pig.
The month-long activity is part of Frenchgate’s Summer Festival, a calendar of free events, special offers and competitions to celebrate summer.
Upcoming activities in addition to the Kids’ Camp include a Summer Suitcase Challenge, where one family can win all their holiday essentials and there’s the chance to win a holiday to DisneyWorld Florida with Hallam FM.
Frenchgate marketing manager, Laura Mathewson, said: “We want to offer our visitors an enhanced experience every time they shop at Frenchgate with plenty to entertain them.
“The Summer Festival has been designed to inject some extra fun into the centre throughout the summer period with something for everyone to enjoy.”
