A SINGING star who was voted the “world’s best phantom” when he starred in the Lloyd Webber hit musical of that name, will be in Wath this weekend.
Peter Karrie stops off for a one-night West End hits concert, with backing from Rotherham’s own Teachers’ Student Academy.
The Welsh dad of six stunned the young performers when he personally requested their voices for his charity show at Montgomery Hall.
After watching their previously recorded performance of Les Miserables, he was blown away by the talent of the eight to 19-year-old group.
Academy member Bever ley Hucknall said: “This has caused great excitement. Peter has invited a few of the cast to perform solos from Les Mis which is a great honour”.
Soloists will include Rawmarsh performers Ka tie Eyer, Molly Huddleston, and Rebecca Clayton.
