CROWLE’S Manor Park will be closed from next Monday, October 31 to allow for the site’s latest developments.

Ron Stewart told fellow-members of Crowle and Ealand Town Council at this month’s meeting and it is hoped the site will be officially reopened on Saturday, December 17.

Recent funding contributions include a £49,999 Big Lottery grant and £5,000 from Scottish and Southern Energy.

Money will go towards new fencing, pathways, seating, litter bins and more play equipment.

Meanwhile Councillor Julie Reed said material for the the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Ealand Park had been ordered and would be delivered by the third week in November.

The Isle of Axholme Lions has pledged £500 towards the MUGA and Coun Reed expects work to take two to three weeks with the park to be ready by Christmas.
