Park Lodge Shooting School, West Cowick, is hosting a special ‘Ladies have-a-go day’ on Sunday August 31 to encourage more women to try clay shooting and to see if they would like to take it up as a sport.
The ‘Ladies have-a- go day’ will include expert tuition from Park Lodge’s friendly instructors, all equipment and the chance to shoot clays on the shooting ground.
Park Lodge provides a fantastic range of clay layouts, including the highest towers in the North of England standing at 30 metres and 42 metres, 12 fully automated sporting stands, four Automatic Ball Trap, Down the Line and skeet layouts, plus simulated partridge stands.
Priced at a discounted rate of £1 per shot, ladies can choose how many shots they would like to try out, with 20 shots taking approximately 45 minutes. Children can also join in the sessions for the same price, (minimum age 7 years old), or have a go on the Air Rifle Range. Visitors can also enjoy the food and drink available in the onsite coffee shop/bistro, which includes a terrace overlooking the shooting ground.
Sharon Bayston, proprietor, Park Lodge Shooting School said: “Clay shooting is becoming more and more popular with women and children, especially those who like being outdoors and having a new challenge. We are sure the ‘Ladies have-a-go day’ will be very popular and are looking forward to welcoming women and children from around the region and showing them what a fun activity clay shooting can be.”
