ONE Direction’s latest single looks set to miss the top spot this week according to the latest chart.

The midweek chart which reviews the number of singles bought and downloaded since Sunday shows the boyband are only at number eight.

The group, who feature 20-year-former Hall Cross School pupil Louis Tomlinson, are currently being beaten by Jessie J, FloRida and David Guetta with DJ Fresh set to clinch the top spot.

Whitney Houston also has several songs reentering the midweek chart following her tragic death at the weekend.

They will find out their official position from 4pm on Sunday.

The band are currently in the running for a Best Single gong at the Brit awards on Tuesday.
