Time is running out to shout about the Doncaster folk who make our town one to be proud of.

Nominations close for this year’s Pride in Doncaster Awards on August 30.

The Free Press, in conjunction with Doncaster Council, is searching for the people - carers, community workers, inspiration individuals and charity workers - who make Doncaster great.

Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said: “These awards recognise people in our communities who are doing exceptional things in Doncaster, be it improving the place where they live, helping others in their community or a great personal or sporting achievement.”

There are 12 award categories, which are: fundraiser of the year, educational person of the year, inspirational young person, mayor’s award for lifetime achievement, award for bravery, neighbourhood superstar, sporting hero, special achievement in the community, carer of the year, service with a smile, council worker of the year, and love where you live.

Visit Pride in Doncaster Awards 2013 to make your nominations. Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse in October.
