Help with career options is on the cards at two free events in Doncaster next month.
Following the success of the Apprenticeship Fair held in March as part of National Apprenticeship Week, Business Doncaster in conjunction with Doncaster Association of Training Managers has announced workshops aimed at helping young people and their parents and carers to find out more about what is available to them.
It will also be a chance to find out about current job vacancies, apprenticeships, traineeships and work based learning.
There will be a number of exhibitor stands, such as training providers, further education colleges and career information stands, as well as existing apprentices all geared towards helping visitors discover more about the different career paths available and how to access them.
Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, said: “Boosting the economy and jobs is one of the council’s top priorities. Well over 200 people attended the last Apprenticeship Fair with many going on to secure work or begin training. These events play a big part in helping people choose the right career path and find new opportunities.
“They are a great opportunity for local people and I strongly recommend anyone to drop in.”
The events will be held at the Trades Club, on the upper mall of Frenchgate, on Fridays August 15 and 22, between 11am and 3pm.
