Rotherham United’s away strip for the 2011 to 2012 season was officially revealed at their Rawmarsh training ground recently.
It features the Rotherham Partnership’s “One Town, One Community” message on players’ shirt fronts, and was unveiled at the Roundwood Pavilion by Rotherham United and Council officials, along with some young fans.
Coun Mahroof Hussain, Rotherham Council Cabinet member for community development and young people’s issues, said: “Football is at the heart of the community.
“The club and the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust do so much good work in the local area, and by extending our support they will be able to further enhance their activities.”
Millers commercial director Steve Coakley, added: “There is so much fantastic, innovative work that goes into social cohesion throughout the Borough that we should be very, very proud.
“It is the perfect opportunity to promote this when we visit numerous towns and cities across the country.”
The partnership brings together Rotherham’s public, private, voluntary and community sector organisations to work together to improve the town.
