A GROUP of young disabled people got up close to nature as part of an educational activity day.

The event, organised by Core Children’s Services (CCS) and Doncaster Council, offered children the chance to explore outside and learn more about nature at Clumber Park.

The group took part in pond-dipping and bug hunting as well as a picnic in the 4,000 acre park.

Kitted out with wellies and fishing nets, the youngsters examined the habitat of plants and animals.
