MP Caroline Flint has called for support for Doncaster’s outlying villages ahead of talk with retailers in Bawtry tonight, Thursday June 6.
Don Valley MP Ms Flint is the guest of the Bawtry Retailers Association at its meeting at the Crown Hotel.
She said: “For Doncaster to succeed, we need to support our outlying towns and villages. Businesses in Bawtry have really led the way on how to promote a town and promote their businesses. Bawtry has over 100 businesses, and more than half have seen the benefits of paying towards the Association and, thereby, supporting the promotion of the town as a destination to shop, relax and enjoy.
“Most of the new jobs and lots of the innovation that builds trade comes from the small business sector; and that’s why I am happy to support Bawtry businesses and celebrate some of the best of Doncaster.”
