A former Doncaster schoolgirl missing from her new home in East Yorkshire is believed to be back in the Doncaster area, Humberside Police say.

Officers are trying to trace the whereabouts of 14-year-old Megan Sambrook, who was reported missing from East Yorkshire last weekend.

She moved there from Doncaster in May, and was last seen getting on a train in Hull at 8.25am on Saturday to visit friends and family in Doncaster.

Megan was due to return to Hull about 6pm the same day but failed to return as expected, and has not made contact since.

Missing persons officers in East Yorkshire are appealing to Megan – or anyone in the Conisbrough area who knows her whereabouts – to make contact with Humberside Police to ensure her safety.

Megan is 4ft 11ins, slim, with red-tipped brown collar length hair.

She was last seen wearing a purple hoodie, a T-shirt, dark blue jeans and pink trainers.

Anyone with information on Megan’s whereabouts is asked to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 736 of June 29.
