Celebrating the achievements of females will be a number of Doncaster groups taking part in International Women’s Day this Friday, March 7.
Inspirational leaders and guest speakers will be the highlight of the event being held at the home of Doncaster Ethnic Minority Regeneration Partnership (DEMRP) at 61A Carrhouse Road.
DEMPR are being joined by representatives of Doncaster Women’s Aid and DIAL for the occasion which runs between 10am-3pm.
Doncaster Women’s Aid chief executive Jane Thompson-Brierley said: “Mayor Ros Jones will be opening the event and we will have guests speakers, with MP Rosie Winterton and assistant police and crime commissioner Tracey Cheetham.
“It’s a celebration of women’s achievements and there will be talks about marriage, equality and women’s well being.”
