A man was stabbed in broad daylight in Sheffield city centre today, leaving him in a ‘serious’ condition in hospital.
Police confirmed tonight that the 23-year-old had been stabbed on the tram bridge over the Park Square roundabout in Sheffield city centre at around 1pm on Sunday, August 23.
He attended hospital with stab wounds to his body.
A police spokesman said: “The man, from the Sheffield area, is in a serious condition in hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
“Officers would like to speak to anyone with information about the assault or who was in the area between 11am and 1pm.”
