ONE of Disney’s best loved animations is being brought to life on stage.
Drama students at Hungerhill School in Thorne Road, Edenthorpe have brought the magical tale of Beauty and the Beast to life in a singing and dancing spectacular.,
Scott Marshall, 15, and Melanie Wildey, 16, have been playing the title roles in the production, being supported by Lorna Cartlidge, 15, as teacup Chip Potts, Sophie Moores, 14, and his teapot mother Mrs Potts, Daniel Flanagan, 13, as Cogsworth the clock and Max Bowker, 14, taking on the role of candlestick Lumière.
The students have been treading the boards in the production since Tuesday, with their last show taking place tonight at the school.
The production is based on the 1991 Disney movie which was later turned into a popular Broadway production which ran for 13 years.
