TWELVE members of staff at Doncaster College have had their long service recognised.

They were rewarded for their loyalty and achieving 20, 30 or 40 years at the college during its annual Long Service Awards.

Awards were presented by Rob Wilmot, chair of governors, and college principal George Trow.

Maureen Lynch, a technician there was recognised for 40 years service.

She said: “I started working for the college in 1970 in the science department and I’ve seen it grow from a much smaller college to what it is now.

“I worked in science for twenty five years before moving to hairdressing and then on to the arts. I’ve really enjoyed working with the students over all these years.”
