Wombwell hanging tragedy

AN INQUEST is due to open today, in to the death of a teenager who was found hanging in a Wombwell pub just before Christmas.

Eighteen-year old Michael Muita Wanjau died on Saturday at hospital.

It is understood that prior to the tragedy he had been staying with friends at the Sir George’s Arms pub on Hough Lane, Wombwell. It was there that he was found in the early hours of December 22.

Mr Wanjau is believed to have had no fixed address, after splitting from his family in recent months.
