The 22-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the shooting of Tyrone Woodhead last Thursday (27, September) was charged late last week with robbery, aggravated burglary and attempted murder.

Nathan Wingfield appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 29 September and was remanded in custody. The charges are for three separate incidents, the attempted murder was the shooting in Wath on 20 September. The robbery relates to a separate incident in Wath on 20 September and the aggravated burglary was an incident in Bentley, Doncaster on 12 September.

South Yorkshire Police officers are continuing to search for another local man and believe the shooting was a targeted incident.

Tyrone Woodhead, 42, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
