A man who punched and kicked a 10 month-old puppy, leaving her with multiple injuries including a fractured skull, has been jailed.

The extent of the suffering little black crossbreed terrier Bella was subjected to by Joseph Eames, aged 20, has been described by an RSPCA officer as ‘one of the worst cases of outright cruelty’ she had ever seen.

Joseph Eames has been convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to this dog by the infliction of multiple blunt force trauma and physical abuse resulting in a broken front leg, broken back leg, fractured ribs, chipped eye socket and soft tissue swelling. Picture: RSPCA
