South Yorkshire Times readers are being offered a free cup of tea or regular coffee at Doncaster’s Cast theatre.
Your favourite local paper has teamed up with the Cafe-Bar at the performance venue of our latest Owt Fer Nowt promotion to offer a hot drink - absolutely free of charge. Just cut out the coupon in the paper and take it to the theatre to claim your free drink, worth about £2.
The coupon is valid between Thursday, February 13, and Thursday, February 20.
The stylish venue at Sir Nigel Gresley Square provides town centre visitors with a place to meet and eat, with a range of locally sourced dishes on the menu.
Based in the fantastic new theatre building, the Cafe-Bar has a great contemporary feel to it, with a menu based on wholesome food from local suppliers. Skellow man Chris Hone, 33, head of commercial development at the theatre, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the South Yorkshire Times to offer their readers the chance to come and try out the Cafe-Bar. The voucher will allow guests to enjoy a free cup of tea or regular coffee on us.
“We want people to pop in for coffee as they do their shopping, bring their friends for afternoon tea or book a meal before a show, the Cafe-Bar is for everyone.”
Chef manager Mat Piggott, 42, of Scawthorpe, said: “Having a drink before the theatre is a great way to start the night. This is a great offer and I would encourage everyone who visits to come in.”
The Cafe-Bar is a grab and go coffee lounge by day with everything from fairtrade coffee, freshly made sandwiches and afternoon tea and a meeting hub by night with craft brews from around the world, a selection of fine but affordable wines, and light bites and tapas. Hospitality packages around show times are proving popular, giving people the opportunity to make more of an event of going out for the evening. The Cafe-Bar is open Monday to Friday from 7am until 7pm and weekend opening will vary around show times. A market trader who offered a free pack of chews in partnership with the South Yorkshire Times is urging other business owners to take part in our Owt Fer Nowt promotion. Phil Toone, 60, who owns the Yorkies stall in Mexborough Indoor Market, said: “I had about 30 people come in off the back of it.
“It’s a good way of getting more people into your shop. I’d urge others to have a go.”
