Your Doncaster Free Press will leave its Sunny Bar home next week after nearly ninety years. Doncaster’s number one newspaper will wave farewell to its home since 1925 next Friday for a short hop across town to new premises in Printing Office Street.
The distintive Sunny Bar building, which was built in 1902, has seen better days and will be put on the market following our departure.
Here’s a final glimpse at our home where eight different editors have presided over more than 4,500 editions since founder Dickie Crowther came up with his Doncaster Free Press and Courier of Coming Events on June 18, 1925.
See next week’s edition for everything you need to know about our move.
