Scrum down – Doncaster Dons have teamed up with Kingfisher Primary School in Wheatley to raise the profile of rugby league.

Class 7 are the official match sponsors of the championship fixture against Rochdale at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday, May 25 – but instead of paying to become sponsors, they have accepted a challenge to increase the attendance to more than 2,000. This challenge has been linked to maths and English lessonsand having negotiated a special family deal for the fixture, £15 for a family of four (two adults and two under 16s), the children have already written persuasive letters to all primary schools in Doncaster in an attempt to encourage children to attend the game. In addition to this the class will be creating persuasive radio adverts, producing posters and writing part of the match day programme. Dons player Stewart Sanderson is pictured during a visit to the school.
