Protesters from the Keep East Coast Public campaign staged another day of action at Doncaster railway station last Friday.
The campaign calls for the re-nationalisation of the railways, and the morning protest took place during the commuter rush hour.
All major East Coast main line stations were the scene of protests, culminating in a mass campaign at York when Lib-Dem party delegates arrived in the city for their conference.
Passengers arriving at the station were urged by RMT and ASLEF members to sign a petition or write to their MP to demand the main line is kept out of private hands.
Regional RMT organiser Sean McGowan said the current route operators who took over when National Express pulled out of the franchise agreement in 2009 had returned £800 million to the Treasury.
