UPDATE: Police continue search for three missing mental health patients

Three men have absconded from a Doncaster hospital that treats people with mental health issues.

South Yorkshire Police has launched a search to find the men who went missing from Cheswold Park Hospital as officers grow increasingly concerned for their safety,

They now believe two of the men may now be headed to West Yorkshire together. The third man may also be travelling with them.

The public are being advised not to approach the men.

Steven Harrison, 24, was granted unsupervised leave and failed to return.

He is described as white, of large build, with shaven blond hair.

Joel Hardy, 23, was granted unsupervised leave at 2pm on Sunday (July 6) and failed to return.

He is described as Asian, of stocky build, with short dark hair.

John Cairns, 23, was last seen leaving the hospital at 2.20pm on Sunday.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt with grey tracksuit bottoms and a Firetrap cap.

Anyone who sees the men should call police on 101 quoting incident number 870, 931 or 943 of July 6 2014.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The latest incident comes after two men also went missing from Cheswold Park in recent weeks.
