Two men stabbed in Hexthorpe fight

Four men have been arrested following a disturbance in Hexthorpe this evening, that resulted in two men being stabbed.

Officers believe that the fight, which took place in Hexthorpe Road, near Kirk Street, at around 6.30pm, involved a group of Slovakian men and a group of Polish men.

Two men suffered minor injuries while two others suffered stab wounds, which are not life-threatening.

They are currently being treated in hospital.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of affray and another was arrested on suspicion of wounding.

They remain in custody this evening.

Police remain at the scene as enquiries continue and to provide reassurance to local residents.
