Tributes after body is found, police linking it to missing Lewis Eddleston, 13

floral tributes have been laid at the scene where the body of a teenage boy was found.

Formal identification of the body is due to take place today but police confirmed they are linking it to missing 13-year-old Lewis Eddleston, of Clay Lane.

Speaking about Lewis a neighbour who did not want to be named said: “Lewis was a lovely lad, everyone knew him.

“We are a close knit community and this will hit us hard.”

Lewis, of Clay Lane was last seen half a mile from the scene on Sunday afternoon between Kirk Sandall and Edenthorpe after telling his group of friends to look after his mobile phone while he went to the toilet.
