Concerns were raised at Crowle Town Council over the future of the town’s railway station, and changes to the central sub-post office.

Mayor Ron Stewart said that following a press report on potential closure of the rail station, the issue is of sufficient importance for the town council to ask the rail authorities for clarification.

The matter arose as a result of proposals to scrap the direct link from Cleethorpes to Manchester.
