Anticipation is building for the Crowle Show, that is set to host more classes, attractions and entertainment than ever before this year.
With all the charm of a classic country event, the show has a plethora of animal classes and so much more to offer to people of all ages. It now attracts visitors from across the country, together with those from close communities that make it a special day out.
The show committee is working hard to prepare for the day that will take place at the Show Fields on Godnow Road, Crowle, on July 20.
This will be year 117 for the event.
Secretary John Shaw said: “The show is run entirely by volunteers and we endeavour to provide entertainment for as wide a variety of people as possible. This summer’s programme will be no exception.”
New attractions range from monster trucks to main ring events including the spectacular ‘Flying Ryan’, a moto cross stunt man, plus a polo team demonstration to showcase the game that is no longer just the ‘sport of kings’.
There will be the usual many popular horse classes, cattle and sheep elements, while the traditional dog show boasts more than 150 categories. Mr Shaw continued: “There will be events throughout the day for all the family with a fairground, donkey rides, a ‘tug of war’ and ‘brick-lifting’ competitions for the more energetic types.
“So please make a note in your diary and come along. It’s vital we draw the crowds in to ensure the future of what is an important part of Crowle’s heritage”
Tractors and engines are always a pull to excited youngsters at the show, and vintage and classic cars will again be on display for enthusiasts.
