Tax justice tour comes to town

A DOUBLE decker bus highlighting how tax avoidance hurts the poor will be parking up in Doncaster.

The Tax Justice Bus will arrive at Doncaster Minster on Wednesday when visitors will be able to find out more about the issue of how tax dodging is hitting the pockets of governments at both home and abroad and impacting on ordinary people’s pockets.

The Christian Aid-backed bus will be outside the church from 9am to 10am.

Both the Bishop of Doncaster Peter Burrows and Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton will be in attendance.

The ‘Tax Justice Tour’ begins on Tuesday covering Northallerton, Ripon, York and Hull before venturing to the borough and the rest of the South Yorkshire region.
