Swinton man pronounced dead at scene of house fire

A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after firefighters attended a a flat fire on Station Street, Swinton on Saturday morning.

Police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious.

It is thought the death was not as a result of the fire.

Station Street was closed to traffic for several hours after the fire which happened at around 10am.
